Blue Lodge Farm is a working farm with suckler cows. Rose and Colin Gapper have been working farms for over 40 years and have brought up 3 children and are now very proud grandparents.

Set in the small village of Abson, Blue Lodge Farm is situated adjacent to Blue Lodge itself. Blue Lodge, was once the home of author Anna Sewell for six years from 1858. The nearby estate of Tracey Park (now a golf club) is said to be the inspiration behind her novel, Black Beauty.

The surrounding area, a wildlife and conservation area, offers plenty to explore. With three golf courses nearby, Shortwood Lodge Golf Club, Lansdown Golf Course and Tracey Park Golf and Country Club, for the keen golfer to enjoy.

Local picturesque villages including Badminton, Castlecombe, Chipping Sodbury and Chippenham are all worthy of a visit and a lazy stroll.

Dyrham Park, Prior Park and Tyntesfield are just a few of the local National Trust sites.

Of course, if you’d like to go on a shopping spree, why not visit either Bath or Bristol. Both cities are less than 7 miles away and with shops, bars, cafe’s and restaurants, there’s plenty to indulge yourself.
